lowrance X-25 problem

I just recently had a x-25 installed on my boat. When I run at high speed (30 mph) the unit loses its bottom reading….sometimes the depth will just flash and there will be vertical blue lines below the depth reading. It seems like sometimes the depth reading will stay accurate and at other times it will not. I have two friends who also purchased x-25’s and they have a similar problem. Any ideas out there how to fix this?

Change the elevation of the transducer in regards to the bottom of you boat. Sounds like you are picking up interference (bubbles, turbulance) caused by the bottom of the boat. It may take some playing around, but keep trying and you will get it worked out.

    Good Luck

Make sure your transducer is located far enough from the motor, I believe the min. is 15″, because this will also cause a problem

I had the same problem with the 26c. All I did was loosen the screws and move the transducer down a little so it remains in contact with the water. It works great now. I love it. Best unit I’ve ever had.
