Hbird Matrix 17

I wanted an inexpensive ff for my project boat. After looking around, I decided to give the Matrix 17 a try. On paper, it seemed to have the most bang for the buck. I just completed a week long vacation where we used the boat on the New England coast. I have to say, that I am impressed by this inexpensive unit. It did everything well.
– No problems in the saltwater
– It held bottom at 40 mph
– The screen is easy to see day or night
– No problems seeing detail in waters from 10′ to 180′
– Easy to use menu system

My other boat has a Raymarine A series. I thought I would miss that unit on this trip, but the hbird came through.
