Any rod builders out there used Shikari rod blanks before. I was specifically wondering about using there walleye series as I am wanting to build a new walleye rod for vertical jigging.
I have heard a lot of good reports from bass guys about their rod blanks. Any walleye guys wanna chip in. At around $84 or so for a nice blank it doesn’t seem outrageously priced.

    Thanks in advance.

I’ve used them since there introduction
    great blanks!
I prefer them to many other name brands
most people don’t know the name

Thanks for the info rod-man. The ratios on these rods make it seem like it would be a good jigging rod, and at a decent price. The St. Croix and Loomis blanks are getting a little spendy for me these days.

You might want to check out the Batson line of blanks. I have bought a few and had good luck with them. They also have Batson guides and reel seats that I’ve used and had good luck with. I think that the Kistler Rods all use Batson guides and components. If you want check out Rodbuilding.Org and read through the forums as they have a lot of builders on the site and I’m sure they are better informed than I on the Shikari blanks.

Thanks mb. I’ll check out Batson. I’ve been to that site and they like Shikari’s, but it’s almost all bass guys. Thanks for the info.
