I am in the market for a good digital camera that is inexpensive. I would like it for the boat so I do not have to take our good one along. Sand and water to not mix well with cameras. What are some of the good ones out there?

Thank you in advance for help.

If you keep the MP down to about 3.1 there should be a good selection of quality camera’s for around $150-180. I would not get a camera under 3.0. Some optical zoom would be good. digital zoom distorts. I have a Kodak 3.1 DX4330. very simple camera, and pic quality is pretty good. Sony Cybershot is good also with around again 3.1 to keep cost down.
    good luck.

You can get a Kodak at Targrt or Wallmart for under $100.
Or a good Canon on Ebay for $40-50

I’ve got an Sony S40 4.1 MP that works well in the boat. I know you can get them for under $150 if you watch the sales. A few weeks ago they were on sale at Office Depot in LaX for under $100. I got mine new on Ebay last winter for $105 but had to fork out another $20 for S&H.

Olympus has a water proof and weather proof one. I think it is mju or stylus 720. It is good to about 10 feet of water.
BTW, I have no financial affiliations with Olympus, just a very happy Oly camera owner.
