I think budget is key. Do you have a spending limit? Once you have that info, I’m sure you will get several opinions.

I put a Lowrance X102C on the bow in January…I love it! Got it from Wade and couldn’t be happier.

Within reason, but no real budget.
    I have a 332C at the dash.

    Thanks

I have the same at the dash. The 332C + 102C combination is quite nice. You might consider getting a 334C for the bow. That would keep you from running back to the console to drop a waypoint and also to check your speed if you were pulling spinners. Sounds like some people have had issues with the 334C, but mounted at the bow that unit would be completely unobstructed and should give reliable GPS performance.

    Thanks for your posts,
I all ready did the 334 experiments, no thanks,
to many issues with shielding,(it’s not the sky) but your point is well taken. Perhaps I will just get another 332.

What about something like Buttom Line,or…..any good?

    Cheers

I think it makes sense to get another 332c.

That way you have a back up in case one doesn’t work.

    Mike,

Another 332C makes a lot of sense for you. You can get it w/o the GPS too.

Go with the 332c/GPS, later if you want to add another 332c/without GPS, it will network together and you will have GPS in two locations using one antennae. Pretty sweet !

    Bit confused,
I allready have a 332c at the dash.
So if I get one for the bow, I will not need another GPS puck?
Will there be any issues with 2 transdusers running at the same time?

    Cheers,
    Mike

No, you don’t need another GPS module for the second unit. You can use the NMEA port to connect the two units and run the second unit off the first unit.

Anytime you have two sonar units running at 200khz at the same time you are going to get some interference once you get over 25 feet of water or so. You can modify the ping rates to reduce interference quite a bit.

    Hey Wade,
If I purchase the 332C and no puck, do I need any special cables to run them both? From dash to bow is about 7’+.
Would I need a special TM mount transducer?

where do I get all that? most stores sell complete units.

    Cheers,
    Mike

You would need to get the 332C display and then add the trolling motor transducer (unless you have universal sonar, then you would need the MKR-US-5 sonar cable instead of the ducer). The trolling motor ducer is PDT-WBL.

You don’t need any special cables. You can wire the two together using the NMEA 0183 port. There are a few guys on here that have done it and can help you if you get stuck I’m sure. I have the wire diagram I can get for you if you go that route. You can order any of this though Jolly Ann Marine or local places like Cabelas, Reeds, Thorne Bros, Gander, and Bass Pro should all have it as well.
