I was wondering if anyone has used one? I’m thinking of buying one for my T8 kicker. How it work & how does it hook up to the motor, my kicker is not a tiller so I have my both throttles by the streeing wheel, or any other thoughts would be great. Thanks

I’ve been using one on my T-8 for several weeks, LOVE IT! I run my steering of my T-8 from my steering wheel so running back and forth for speed control was a pain. I would recommend this set-up even for someone who runs from the tiller of thier kicker because of the excellent speed control. In addition you have a button for full throttle and one to drop you down to idle.

It was very simple to hook-up, two hours max and you should have no problems with the remote throttle.

Can’t say enough good things about it

You won’t regret the purchase!! Easy to install, the toughest part is running the wires to the console. Comes with easy to follow instructions. The trollmaster is the best “add on” product in my boat!! Love it!

I just used mine tonight for the first time. Worked well. My T8 steers seperately from the big motor with the Panther remote steer. Didn’t want to use the steering wheel and manuver 500lbs of motor instead of 100lbs. I mounted the remote in the back of the boat and it comes with about 12′ of cord so I can stand or sit anywhere in the back of the boat and use the trollmaster. I can also steer the T8 from anywhere in the boat due to the 18′ of cord. Both cords can be shoved back in a grommeted hole in the back of the boat to stow them. Works slick. I get the wierdest looks out on the water when people see my kicker turning back and forth without me touching the steering wheel or a tiller handle.

I am also interested in getting a Trollmaster for my 1998 9.9 4-stroke Mariner. The question that I have is how many of you guys run the tiller handle or connect it to the big motor and run the steering wheel? Also, how many of you are running the panther remote steer? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks, 690reece

If I am going to troll for a long time and there is not much control needed, like when I am just trolling up and down with intermittent S, then I would use the connector rod and steer from the console. Otherwise, if I need that control or for a short period of time, I steer from the tiller. I have the trollmaster that I can use from the console when I am steering from the console.

I’m using the tiller model. Works great,The tiller handle has all the control, when you want to use it as a tiller, disconnect it from the big motor,if you want to use it from the consle, Use the trollmaster..Tiller handle automatically over rides the troll master.
