I got home last night and my new fishing bible was in the mail! After using version 4 for the last 6-7 years, it is nice to have the new info. Besides the new lures, the snap weight discussions and charts and the Fireline curves are nice to have.

So, riddle me this EJ. Does the dive curve of the deep tail dancers match that of the 800 series Reef Runners? If so, then I don’t need buy 8, I can wait for 9…

    Kooty,

They are pretty close. The TD runs a little less than 10% deeper. The Fireline charts are nice.

    Kooty or EJ,

Do either of you guys know if version 8 is available any place around the cities or do you have to order it. I was at Gander Mtn. in Maple Grove over lunch and they didn’t have it.

    Thanks

I haven’t been shopping lately. I need to run to cabelas tomorrow over lunch to get dad a gift card. I’ll check there. If they have them, I’ll call your cell.

Thanks Kooty. I haven’t noticed anyplace that had version 8, but I haven’t looked that hard either. I think we have version 4 or 5 so I figure its time for an upgrade!!

Got ya beat. I have version 2. Then I got 7 last year. Realized the hard way, the new versions are not waterproof. Thanks to Mark R for replacing at cost!!

It’s cool to look through #2, check out the old reliables, how they haven’t changed.

I hear ya about the newer versions aren’t waterproof. My dad’s got wet and now the pages are stuck together. Hence the reason to get a new one.

    Josh,

I don’t know if anyone has it in stock yet. Call Cabelas or Thorne Bros. If they don’t have it, then order direct from Precision Angling. They have a quick turn around.
