Marcum puck mounting question

I’m putting a puck transducer on my Marcum and was wondering if anyone had a “clean” way of doing it so that the cable is not in the way or getting snagged on timber while trolling.

    Thanks.

I have the same concern. I haven’t found any way to get rid of the loop needed for lowering the motor into the water but I’m trying this setup. I bought some small diameter flexible conduit and fastened it as shown in the pictures. I’ve only had this since April but so far I haven’t experienced any problems The Marcum does work awesome in the front though off of this puck. Good luck

I appreciate you taking the time to send pictures. My buddy and I have kicked around several ideas, but I thought I’d throw out this post as there is no need to re-invent the wheel. The Marcum worked great ice fishing and I’m hoping for the same in open water.

    T-

I have two puck styles mounted on:

One, John boat, transom mount trolling motor…

Two, Lund boat, bow mount trolling motor…

I used a hose clamps for the pucks, and electrical tape for the cord…I haven’t had any problems with bumping it on bottom, or with the cord getting it in the way…

LX-5 flasher’s are one of the most important tools in my boats…

Good luck, let us know what you do/how it works!!

If you figure out how to re-invent the wheel, let us know!!

I used it this weekend around stumps and brush after securing it with hose clamps and zip ties. I had no problems and the Marcum worked great. Thanks for the input.
