Installed the chip on my new LMS 332c but can’t seem to get the lakes/river map/contours to work. I was out on the St Croix and played with all the buttons, but no contours. What I’m I doing wrong ? Thought it was plug in and play. Sonar works fine. Help !

I dont know which chip you have but some you have to go into your GPS and choose the state your in so it loads those lakes.

I think there is a map data field under gps setup menu. The navonics chips have 3 or 4 different settings for different areas of the state. You have to highlight the right one for the lake/river you are on. My dad had one, it’s been a while, but I think that’s how it worked. I also think there was a section in the instruction book that talked about it. Don’t know if that helps or not.

I shoud’ve added that I have the premium chip for the 5 states (NORTHERN) region. I do recall seeing the different selections under MAP and probably didn’t highlight it, so I’ll give that a try tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far.

Yah..it is not so intuitive. I thought that just popping it in would make it work. That was the impression I got to. But actually you need to go into the menu system and ask it to load the map data. The names of the map data actually look quite wierd at first, but you will release the are abbreviated for like SE MN, E Wi, etc and etc.
