Anyone out there have a trolling motor stabilizer? Last night while running on Tonka, I hit a few waves that caused the head of my Minnkota PD to smac my gunnel pretty hard. I looked at the RAM one, but it’s about 50 bucks. I also see the rodsaver velcro style, but wasn’t sure if that would do the job or not. Anyone used either one??? Or has anyone made one from scratch? Any help would be appreciated

The Ram is the best thing that I have seen. I had this on my last boat and it was great. It may be a little expensive, but it is cheeper then replacing a trolling motor

Spend the 50 bucks. Well worth it-quick, simple, effective and durable.

The one that Bob posted is the same one that I have, Works great. I have a 60 inch shaft on a 16.5 foot boat if it was not for that Ram mount I am sure that the trolling motor would be at the bottom of Mille Lacs.
