I bought a couple of accudepth LC reels, and now I need a couple rods to match. I don’t want to break the bank on them, but I don’t want junk either. Any suggestions from some veteran trollers would be greatlly appreciated. These rods are going to be used on the river as well as the lake. Thanks in advance.

    SEDNERB,

Check out some of the other posts down a bit from your post here. We have had several discussions recently on various trolling rods.
Are you looking for a specific application for these rods to couple with your LC reels? Are you looking for the all purpose rod?

I agree with Steve, check things out on the other posts. If you are interested in matching those reels to the Cabelas rods, then the Depthmaster rods are well worth the money. I think they are on their website for $34.99 each. At that price, they are available in lengths of 6’6″ to 10’6″. Very high quality rods for $35.

I like the St. Croix rods myself. Right now I am using the 7 ft. Premier rods and am looking at the Wild River 10ft. 6in. St. Croix rods at the moment. Great quality rods. Thanks, Bill

I’d agree with TBO, for the price you can’t go wrong with the depthmaster from Cabelas. I do long lining and leadcore with them and they work OK. Picked up some St. Croixs wild river seris, going to give those a try this year.
