I feel so lost switching to Lowrance, but I’m looking forward to figuring this thing out.

Can I upload waypoints, tracks, etc… from a LCX-19C to my PC? And after that, can I create waypoints on my pc and download them back to the GPS?

My old Garmin I was able to just take the unit inside and plug it into my PC.

D-Nort…you will learn to love the Lowerance…they are awesome and the chips you got will be a great addition. I got mine last year and use it all the time. They work great even with out the chips to, like whenI went to Florida…you can still mark you points of interest and later re mark them if needed… by the way thanks for the beer at Marty’s party..should have stayed to hear Marty and Scrappy’s duet……not good!!!!!

Just bought the Navionics hotmaps premium north chip from “JollyAnn Marine”. Came in two days… .
After spending two nights sitting out in my boat in the garage, I decided there has to be a better way to study lake maps then sitting out in my boat in the garage. .
Although its kinda peaceful out there. .
Is there any easy to use “reader” for my PC for the lake chips? I dont even need to do anything with them other then view them in different zoom modes. Although it would be nice to be able to mark key areas to try later while your out on that particular body of water. Any ideas???………….Murf

I was wondering the same thing. I have heard navionics will soon be offering software for your computer that will do just that, and more. It will work on all the navionics chips. Supposed to be out in a month or so. Check their website in the news section.

If and when this software is available could someone post where we could get it. That would be awesome to take your special points of interest and put them in your own database at home so you could further say study the area, or print off a page. Or course then share the hotspots

Any infor on this software would be great…

The Navionics NavPlanner will be available in a few weeks most likely. It offers the following:

*View Navionics charts on your PC
*Load, create and save waypoints and routes from and to your compatible media cartridge
*Access and print full data details of your routes and waypoints
    *Locate ports with Go-to-Port
    *Measure distances and bearing
*Access tide & current, sun & moon rise data
*Easily select full description of all chart objects with “Xplain”

I can take pre-orders now. PM me or email me for details.

Compatible media cartridge??? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the Premium North Navionis chip is one of them

I’m not sure how that’s going to work yet. I was thinking it’d be like mapcreate. I don’t think you’ll be loading the data onto the Navionics chip itself. Seems to me that could get a little dangerous (bye-bye maps!) and I don’t think there is much empty space on those chips. I could be wrong though. I will try to get some details but I may not have much on this until they get released.
