Is there a way to get my H2O to have more details? Lake names, road names or #’s etc? I have the premium chip, but that only works if it’s engaged…I’m looking for the general “base map” to be more detailed. My old Garmin III had way better detail on the base map. Something about MapCreate? I am NOT computer savy!
Mapcreate will improve your GPS mapping as far as roads, lake names, etc. but it is data that you load to a data card and then place in the GPS to use. You can’t “upload” it permanently. As long as you have the data card in your GPS it will read the more detailed maps. You do have to use a PC to load this info onto the data card. I would read the manual before you purchase mapcreate to make sure it’s what you want. The manual is available at the bottom of this page.
Premium North?….are you in Mn?……..do you want detailed Mn road mapping?……if so the Lakemaster Mn chip has basicly Mapcreate mapping and POI plus all the lakes and HD maps.
Or like Wade said Mapcreate itself would work.
