He is definitely correct about that, have you seen the “NEW”brake-in warnings and procedure for the Black motors this year. Not to be broke in under 40degrees,some guys are going to have trouble before detroit this year.
Tuck, Jamie, I have ran 100% synthetic oil thru my rigg for the last 10 or 12 years and I still have the same 90 hp. I go thru about 5 or 6 gallons of oil a year. Now you have to realize that I still mix my oil because I just don’t trust any injection system when the temperature falls below 30 degreese ! We all know what happens to oil when the temp drops off, don’t we. Another part I like about 100% synthetic fuel mix is that I just have to use 7oz of oil to 6 gallons of gas, and it just dosen’t foul plugs, and that fact makes this product cost effective. They make a special blend of oil for oil injected motors which you put right into the oil tank. Why worry about your oil injection in cold weather, when for very little more money you could put that problem away forever !
You don’t have to frett about warranty issues because this product meets and exceeds all manufactures specs !!! Like I said, I have used this product for many years and I put just as many hours on my rig as most hard core fishermen, because not only am I an avid fisherman, I am also the county waterpatrol officer. I spend alot of time on the water, so I only use time tested products, because I don’ t want to be let down in a time of need !!! Besides it’s alot better for the enviroment because you don’t introduce as much pollutants for the sheer fact that you just don’t use as much product.!!!
My thougts out loud !!

Richard , do l understand you right ? Do you mix synthetic oil in your gas AND regular oil in your oil injection system ?
I may be wrong but I think you cannot add oil to gas for DFI motors such as a Ficht. If anyone knows if that is true or not please post.

Jamie,
Are you running any special Opti oil for cold weather running?
Read my article on DFIs. I did a lot of research on DFI. What takes place here in a nut shell is that the oiling takes place under the piston, and directly oils vital components of the motor. That is why there is no smoke. By mixing gas and oil, you would compromise the system, and not be oiling crankshafts, bearings, etc. The next sound you would hear would be “BOOM!” Followed by a bunch of expletives.
I will post up recommendations that I will be receiving from Bombardier.

Fireline, Let me try this again.
When I mix my oil 100 to 1, I use 6 or 7 oz (depending on the temp) of Amzoil to 6 gallons of gas. For oil injected motors Amzoil has a 100% synthetic, just pour in your oil tank like anyother oil. Another part I like about Amzoil is you don’t have to fog your motor when you store it for less than three months. Gotta go now ! Going ice fishing on Clear lake !!! My ride is waiting !!
Good luck !!
Hoped this helped ? If not go to Amzoil.com for more info.

Steve,no I run regular efi oil ealry in the spring,You wont foul as many plugs on the (old)opti’s when running this.As soon its warms up run the recommended dfi opti oil (spendy at retail price) they will check the oil if she goes boom.I know this.In spring let hear warm up for a long time and at take off(tourney)dont hammer down ,go about half trodle for a minute or two then hammer down,I have fouled opti’s 5 times in early spring.Ask Jon J about Spring Valley.LOL
Well, I went with the Ficht oil, and as was thought, it took a good long time, a lot of alarms, and warming up before the oil started working. It was 15 deg. this morning. But boy, does that engine run sweet! This afternoon I got mid 50’s going back to Everts, and there was still some left! I can’t wait!
Be back out tomorrow.
