I am switching in dash units. The new unit is not as wide and a little longer than the old one. Is there a way to fill the void in the dash? Anyone done something like this?

yep………….go to a good local machinist and have him cut you out a new Stainless Steel dash panel and make it all look new again!!!

Swap gauges and everything at that point………

That is what I’m in the process of doing……..

Other than that………there really is no easy answer on that deal……..it is hard to add in plastic and wood……

wow that was not the answer I was expecting. I have a triton bass boat the dash is wood grain looking molded plastic. I would have thought it would be easier to switch out. Guys have to be getting new units pretty often. Anybody have luck trying anything else? Has there been any past threads on this? Not sure how to do a search on it?

Maybe Triton has the answer or new dash panel????

It is just kinda hard to “add” material as a filler.

I am checking with some dealers on a new dash. I know what you mean about adding material as a filler. Not sure how I would be able to do that. Just wanted to avoid removing all the gauges.
