I know that Wade mentioned the new Navionics maps were going to be out for 2006 with great improvements, but I haven’t been able to find out what the improvements are? I checked the Navionics website (which could use some improvement considering the high-tech field they are in!) but didn’t see anything new.

Also, what is the difference between the CF (comcact flash) and SD cards, since is seems the maps are offered both ways?

    Thanks!

The main difference is each manufacture uses a certain chip for their GPS units.

The differences are laid out Here for all of us. Lower price and more lakes plus added North and South Dakota. I guess you missed this thread.

CF cards are generally for Raymarine while Lowrance, Eagle, and Humminbird take SD cards. Always make sure your GPS is compatible with the maps you are buying.

The new product is not officially released yet so you won’t it on their website just yet. We are offering the 2006 version as a pre-release.

FYI, for those of you that have already ordered, the new chip should be at your door on Monday or Tuesday. Enjoy the new chip!
