Hey Guys ( and girls ),

I’m gonna pick up a new jiggin’ rod this spring and wanted some imput on a Loomis IMX vs. one of thoese St Croix tournament walleye rods? I’ve only fished with the IMX in the past and I like it a lot. What do you guys think? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Golden, I am just offering my opinion…I don’t want this to turn into a huge LOOMIS VS ST.CROIX debate, but-

I have a SJR 782 in both IMX and GLX,

    I also have the TWS66MXF-

    and I have EC66MF-

I have a couple of both.. The one rod that I find in my hand the most is the GLX, I love all of the rods, but that is the one I have the most confidence in. Now, with loomis being bought by shimano, my next purchase may go to St.Croix. They are all AWESOME rods. You can really tell a difference in sensitivity in the top two, vs the bottom two. You will not go wrong with whatever you choose. Hope this helps…

These St. Croix Legend Tournament rods are HOT! It will be my next rod. If you get down to Pool 4 anytime soon, Dean has a 6’9″ at Everts. Stop in and fondle it!

Unless you have the extra cash a GL3 or 2 is sufficient. My jigging rod of choice is the SJR 722. in a GL3
