Just got mine in the mail today. These things really look neat! Comes with a nice padded seat and everything. You hear about those fancy new expensive cars that have ”heated seats”, well I now have a ”heated seat” in my boat, at my camper, at the camp fire, where ever I am in fact. YES!!!

I have one problem Leo, I don’t eat fish. I just put em back so I can catch em again and again and again……This way you always know that there are fish in the river for YOU to catch. Talk your wife into moving up this way yet? Take care, Bill

It sure kept our chili nice and hot at the Otter Round-up! Yep… that is steam that is rolling off that chili-dog!

Here is a list of accessories you can buy at Walmart and the “Dollar Store” to aid in your cooking with the Sportsman’s Multi Heater.

    Dollar Store:

    12″ metal tongs – great for grabbing… $1.00

Simmer Ring – makes a double boiler out of any pan, it is a heat defuser prevents burning and scorching. Perfect fro keeping even temperatures, making cornbread, toast…. $1.00

Baker’s Collection Cake Pans – 8″1/2 and 9″ cake pans. one smaller than the other makes a lid for the larger, “cleans in a jiffy” coated with non stick finish… $1.00 ea.

Cake Rack – heavy guage steele rack keeps pans from grill surface to bake instead of fry… $1.00

    Walmart:

Acu)Rite Oven Thermometer – hangs on pail side and displays temps, stainless steel construction… under $5.00

Grease Strainer Pot – works as a great two man coffee pot! It has detaching top strainer that can be used as steamer. Water boils in minutes in it and pot has a handle at an angle such that it can be placed over the Multi Heater’s wood handle and will hang there, off the heated surface & then stays hot without boiling further…under $5.00

    Hot biscuits anyone?

A metal camping “mess kit” works just great with this Sportsman’s Multi Heater.

    Dave,

Great innovative yet real additions to this neat device.
I must say I was surprised at how hot the inside could get. I fired mine up for the first time last Saturday at the get together
and put it right on the ice with the seat cushion in place and I put a couple ham and cheese sandwiches on a small piece of tin foil and let it go to see how it could fair the wind and single digit temps. Boy was I amazed!!!
This thing actually got hot inside. I came back and checked periodically to see how fast things were progressing and within 25 minutes, I had a hot ham and cheese with the cheese fully melted. If I would have been using my head a little, I would have covered the sandwiches up to keep the bread softer. Unfortunately, I was so full from the chili dog that I passed on eating my experimental sammich!!

DeeZee, the higher up in the bucket you get the hotter it is for baking…. right on the griddle it is super hot! Frying hot! So I use my “coffee pot” to raise my TV dinners up high with my coffee pot right on the griddle… tv dinners are hot to go in about 20 to 25 minutes (depends on if you flare out the wick making a higher flame). And the coffee water is hot much sooner! To heat without burning use the “rack” or “defuser” mentioned in the above post.
Works great with a small black iron skillet fro doing bacon and sausage… place it right on the griddle.
FYI… word is you can get the fuel now at Sam’s Club for real cheap!
