could someone post a link to the post/article on what to do with your boat batteries after you remove them for the winter? I put the boat in storage and have two batteries in the basement. or could someone give me the Reader’s Digest version?

Make sure that they are charged. Put another charge on them again in late January or early February. I set mine on a piece of wood but they say you don’t have to do that any more.

We just had a good discussion about this in the Mississippi River Forum on this site. Just hop over there, on about the 2nd or 3rd page you will see a posted question from me and replys from several, including FISHINFOOL. I bought one of those chargers from Northern and have it running in my garage now. PM me if you want more details.

    Sthttp://www.fishtheriver.com/articles/deep_cycles.htmleve,

If you click on the above site it will take you to an article found in the FTR “Articles” section and you will find alot of info on deep cycle batteries. This article should have the answer for your question along with alot of other answers also. Bill

    lundg,

i read it. do I need to be adding any liquid to the batteries? they were both brand new in the Spring. Do I just need to make sure they are both fully charged? how often will I need to buy new batteries?
