Lund Boats…

Did any of you Lund guys catch this? Maybe you want to rename your boats “Enron Pro V” or “Tyco Fisherman” Maybe “Martha Stewart Tyee”

This speaks only about a ”person” doing wrong. It has nothing to do with Lund having done anything wrong, which they haven’t. It was a crime that an employee did, he stoled alot of money from Lund. I am a proud Lund owner and have great respect for Lund Boat Co. and their top quality boats. Bill

I wasnt bashing Lund-they are GREAT boats. I just thought some might have some interest in the story.

Intresting post DaveB. I love my lund boat but would not hold it against them because of one SOB that never learned right from wrong, or didn’t care.

Yup, I thought it was pretty funny, and I took the comments as jokes.

This whole story started a couple of years ago and came to my attention because one of the businesses financed by the embezzled funds was the embroidery one. I didn’t know the owners personally, but a few of my suppliers did. That particular company didn’t seem to have the best of reputations and questions had already been raised about the close relationship that they had with Lund. People will talk.

I was tempted to write to Lund and ask them if we could get some money, too. We didn’t really want more work, just money. All in all, though, it seems as though this sort of thing is way too easy to have happen. My vote goes for honesty all the time.
