Does anyone know what the part is on the back of the motor where the water sprays out? It connects to the hose that sprays the water out the motor and makes it into a little stream instead of a big one. It looks like a little nipple to me, but don’t know the name and need to get a new one.
I have a 1991 60 horse merc and am having trouble looking at any drawing to order new or trying to find one.

    Thanks

Sometimes they are called a “tell-tail”.

Really appreciate it Brian. That’s what I though by looking at the picture, but it’s hard to tell.

If you haven’t thought of this already, Call the marina first and tell them about the piece your wanting and what it does and where its at, they’ll know what your talking about or take your boat down to them, they’ll help you and tell you the name.

Sounds like the plastic fitting that fits in the houseing of the motor. Just pulled it off of my motor and chucked it. Stuff was getting clogged up at the fitting. Sticking the hose threw the hole where that fitting was and placeing the clamp on the end of the hose took care of the problem. Sure beat cleaning it out several times a trip.

I have a feeling if you called a dealer with the make, model and year and told him you needed a pisser, he’d know exactly what you’re referring to.
    I’m not kidding.

Guys, I tried yesterday all day and most dealers don’t have the part in stock and I was trying to get out tonight. I called TC outboard and they were pretty clueless and needed a serial number. After a bunch of searching for diagrams I finally have the # and should be okay.
    Thanks guys
