I have an open bow boat, Alumacraft Trophy to be exact and want to get a canvas bow cover for safety incase I get caught in bigger water than I should be in. Can anyone provide some insight as how these are put on. I believe they snap on. I have seen a Lund with one on…looks to be from the factory and they had some sort of frame built into the boat bow that enabled you to snap these things on the side of it. My Alumacraft is pretty much flat along the top of the bow. Do you just snap it down onto this flat area. I will contact some shops that do canvas work and see what Ideas they have. Does anyone know or have you had it done.
    Thanks,
    Satch

The good cover makers put the snaps under the rail, under rubber trim that goes around the boat.

I have to also suggest Erischen. I had my pro v cover made their this spring and it is excellent. Fits like a glove, keeps all water out, and looks good to boot.

Thanks for all the input. I finally ordered one straight from Alumacraft. Didn’t know I could do that. Came very quickly!
Now I just have to figure out how to attach it to the boat. It came with everything I should need.
    Thanks Again.
