Trailer Jack question

While trying to disconnect my trailer from my truck the other night, my trailer jack went out on me. I need to replace it, but I can’t seem to find out how much weight it should be able to lift. I have a 19′ Ranger that weighs about 3300 lbs and the trailer is a Ranger Trail bunk type. So do I need something bigger than a 1500lb jack? Any ideas where to find this info? Any help is, as always, appreciated.

I doubt you need anything bigger than a 1500. Is this a jack you can take off by un-screwing a few bolts? If it is, I’d just take it off and run it in to a Northern Hydrolics store and have them match it up to a new one.

You couls also pull up the Ranger website and get their tech support number and ask them.

Yeah, I already have it off, I just needed to know what weight I would need. I’ll be visiting Northern Hydraulics

The bigger the better they usually have better wheels on them for moving the boat around.
