My favorite is the Heddon Moss Boss. I vary color/size depending on weather conditions and water clarity. Can’t begin to count how many bass I’ve caught on this lure, with many hawgs included.

Scum Frogs, Wiggle Wogs and similar baits in which the hooks point up are the best baits for hitting the thickest slop on the water, IMO.

If you were to limit yourself to 4 colors of scum frogs…….

What color would you use under what conditions???

    http://www.scumfrog.com/scumfrog.html

Check out their page, If i had to choose 4

it would be SF111, SF 115, SF116, and a tossup between SF 125 or 127.

The White one is probably my favorite, and it will get thrown all the time….Darker conditions, Darker colors.

Color makes more of a difference when you have lots of open pockets (ie. pads, eel grass,) If you’re fishing a mat of slop, IMO, all they see is a silouette, so technically it shouldn’t matter…but you guys know how picky fish can be

Don’t forget the Johnson Minnow. Put a Uncle Josh bass strip on it and it slides right over the mess and has great action as it falls into the holes.

well guys, I don’t get them biggens like slop is holding but I do get a few in the boat around here. I use these colors, and I actually looked in my box and I only have 4 colors. here they are:
    SF-104 Chartreuse
SF-103 White- with the red and white tails.
    SF-102 Black
    SF-101 Green

I have a few other top water frogs, they just don’t seem to produce as well as the scum frogs do.
