I sell trailers, I dont sell the yacht club brand, shorelandr, ezloader, karavan, eagle. But I take them in on trade and they would mostly be classified as a price point trailer your basic trailer, If its something your using to get out of the water and just park next to the garage then you dont need to spend a lot on a trailer but if you do alot of trailering I would spend the extra and upgrade on something in the lines I mentioned as examples the little bit extra to upgrade is well worth it over the years and on the road. Hope that helps

well actually it is an upgraded #2000 roller galvinized with a swing away toungue. the boat that is going on it ways under #1300, i was just curious what people thought of the yacht club brand in general. i am kinda confused by your post destry, so your saying that the brands you listed are good or bad?, or are you just saying to upgrade poundage in general if i plan travel excesive miles?.

    thanks – b.s.

The boat weight that you mentioned, is that the hull only or does that include motor, gas, batteries, gear, etc. If it is only the hull and you have a larger size 4 stroke motor, you may want to consider going a little heavier duty on the trailer. My hull is 1100#, but when you add the weight of everything else, I figure I am around 1900# with a full tank of gas. I have a 2400# trailer.

I do not own a yacht club so I can’t tell you much about how well they are built. I did consider buying one with my rig last year. The only thing that I noticed is that a boat will sit up noticeably higher on a Yacht Club than some others. This translates into a higher profile on the road and a little less ease of launching.
