Grayscale setting?

Out for bass opener this weekend and me and my buddy (both grew up on flashers) were talking about these LCR’s and how much stuff is on them. We were talking about greyscale and that we both knew how to set them up and down, but really didn’t know what the proper setting is for them. The manuals tell you how to go up and down, but not really what kind of reception you should be looking for. Some may think just turn it up and you’ll see the shaded line. But can you turn it up to high? Drop me an idea of what you do and what your looking for. Thanks Fishnut

    Hey fishnut.
My grayscale setting really depends on where I’m fishing. If I know I’m fishing in a rocky hardbottom area, I don’t have it set too high. But if I’m fishing a soft bottom area, and am looking for some bottom hardness contrast areas, I’ll turn it up higher. Basically I’m looking to see when the grayline gets thicker indicating a harder bottom.
    Hope that helps a little.
