    I’m sorry, I must have missed something. What baits are you having such good luck with? { John }

    I’ve used them, and they are good for smallies. At 60 cents a piece though, they get AWFUL enpensive in a hurry, as they aren’t the most durable lures.

    How have you been fishing them? They are best on the deadstick, or slight twitches for me. I still like Flukes better for an aggressive retrieve. I have used the White with pepper flake mostly, what colors do you like?

    They are made by Gary Yamamoto and are a plastic stick bait. I have had great success with the 4 inch ones in smoke with large black flake, wacky rigging it. I am going to try and deadstick them to.

    The cabela’s in Prairie Du Chien has them and so does Bass Pro Shops. In fact BPS has them on sale right now I think.
    I agree the Berkely ones are not very good. What size hook do you guys use on the flukes? I like to use a 2/0 or 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook.

    I use 4- 5 on super flukes . 5s get tough on short fish,sometimes in the eye. If not tourny fishing I mash the barb. SECRET! If you add weight to the bend of the hook( copper wire) it can be fished faster and the action on the drop is awsome

    Check out the RC Tackle Sink-ins at Bobs Bait Shop and Ace Hardware in La Crosse, In the past year we have had great success in local tournaments using both sink-ins and flukes. Top three finishes have been recorded in the bass world sports, team supreme, and bfl tournament trails. The main advantage to our sink-ins over those others guys is our price and durability. I know for a fact we have the cheapest senko type baits on the market! We currently have nine colors designed just for the upper mississippi, with new colors coming out all the time. As far as flukes go just ask the guys at Ace hardware in La Crosse. RC Tackle flukes are softer (than zoom) giving them more action. They are also alittle easier on the ol’ wallet. Give them a try, you wont be sorry.

    I use 4/0 Gamakatsu hooks for flukes. But dave is right there hard on the short fish.. gamakatsu stands alone for hooks.

    Guys:

    I used to always use Gammy hooks also, but now have went to the Mustad Mage-Bite. These hooks are just as sharp out of the bag as Gammy’s, but hold there point soooo much better. If you’ve used Gammy’s for a while, you must have noticed times where the very tip of the point bends or breaks off, and you have to snap it off and file it down, or toss the hook. The Mustads just last a lot longer for me.

    Give them a try. I like 3/0 or 4/0, but I agree, they go right into the eye on short fish.

    Hey Mossboss,
    I’ll have to give some of those mustand hooks a try. What I like about gammys is how long they stay sharp.. The points do bend of an break once an while but not very often for me…Do they mustand keep there sharpness as long as gammys???
