Looking to upgrade from a Garmin 240 fishfinder and was wondering if anyone has had experience with the 250C (color) unit? Is is a worthy buy? I will upgrade to a 250 either way but was wondering if going to color is the right move? Any comments on this are greatly appreciated.
Color is very helpful and definately worth the extra cash if you can swing it. The Lowrance X102C is my favorite new color unit in that range. It has the highest resolution of any unit in that range and the screen is incredibly bright with a very crisp picture. The Garmin 250C is also a very nice unit. Either one would do a good job for you, but I give the edge to the X102C.
