Are you able to see the bottom read clearly? Just sounds like your’re either not on fish or sensitivity is down too low.

Keep in mind you need “ideal” conditions to see fish arches on any locator. The fish needs to be sitting still, your transducer needs to be mounted properly and boat speed will all factor in seeing fish arches. Arches are over rated in my opinion. Personally I dont like to see arches, it can sometimes mean fish are not active. Look for active fish to show as partial arches or wavy lines.
Like Matt said, pump up the gain and slow down the screen speed and try to match it with the boat speed. It takes time to run your electronics properly. Trial and error..

My son had the same problem with his Lowrance until he located an article on probass.net/protips/ Scroll down the page to electronics to an article by Ken Sturdivant titled “Back to the basics-the depth finder”

    here it is
    Right Here!

When I trun on my LCX 15 I turn the sensitivity up until the screen is black with clutter. I then turn it down until it is mostly clear.
