Hello, this is my first posting on the forums. I have a 170 horsepower johnson motor and I wanted to have it tuned up. I know that some places are great and don’t take 4 months to get the boat back to you. Please everyone post up where you recommend for great service and a quicker turnaround time on getting my motor back. I live in Rochester MN, but the boat is stored in Cannon Falls. So I am willing to take it anywhere around the Twin Cities or Rochester Areas.
    Thanks guys,

I don’t know many Johnson dealers….My father in law had good luck at Sunnyside’s in Bayport.

One place I can tell you to stay away from is Hwy 61 Marine outside of Hastings…two friends had terrable service (not just that they couldn’t find the problem), and I had unbelievable bad service with my Polaris 4 wheeler.

I’ve heard good things about Smitty’s Marine…not sure where their out of…but I’m guessing it’s close to you. I’m not sure if they handle Johnson though.

    PS…Welcome to the board Peter!

    Welcome to IDA Pete!!!

Here is the best peace of advice I can give you, what ever you do never ever listen to what Brian says he never knows what he is talking about, I think he just likes to hear him self talk.

Here is what you do, sell that boat of yours and then buy my boat for say $12000 then I can buy my new boat and everyone will be happy!
