Tournament Fish Scales

I just got a new fish weighing scale made by XTools.
If you are a tournament angler it is a great new device. It has a culling system. It comes with buoys for your fish and when it weighs a fish it assigns it the number in order that you weigh in and you clip that buoy on it. Once you get the limit that you have preset in it when you get a larger fish you can replace the buoy on it an dput it on the new fish. it keeps a running total too. I know culling is illegal but some tournaments for walleyes where you are legally allowed 10 fish and only weigh in 6 you can use it so you know which ones are your heaviest. it is pretty cool.

Has anyone else ever used one of these?

Funny, I thought it was illegal to cull in WI

I don’t think that was the purpose of this post, if you re-read the info provided, you will see that.

I think it looks like quite the scale. I need a new one anyway.

These things are pretty cool. I had a rep come in and teach me all about them. The scale, pliers, gaff, and knife all look very well constructed. The only problem I have is that I never catch enough fish to worry about culling.

Looks like something a toddler would play with. Pretty colors.

It does look like a kids toy being so bright but it works really well. There is no culling in Wisconsin but some tournaments do let you keep your limit in the boat but only wiegh in say 6 out of your ten. then you know exactly which ones are your biggests ones without remeasuring them.

Tuck I did not know you were out of town, are you doing any fishing while you are down there?

    God I wish!
I am sitting in the airport here with Tracker Nitros and the like all around! I think I made some nice contacts down here for future visits. I am really close to Table Rock. Northrup Grumman is the account I have here. I am hoping to meet some employees with boats!

We usually head to Table Rock in March during sprig break when my daughter is out of school, we did not make it this year as I do not have enough vacation time yet with the new job. Next year we are planning on heading down and staying at Big Cedar Lodge
