I just installed a auto-pilot with built in transducer and a x135. When I turn the sonar on there is a noticable ticking noise. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen and how can I fix it
    Thanks,

I dont have the auto pilot but the last sonar i put on the front made the same noise.I was told that is normal and once it’s in the water the fish cant hear it.

I have one and when I got it it made a noticable ticking. There is a connection in the head of the motor for the sonar which may not be tight.I had to push this connection tight on mine and the ticking stopped. The ticking is the ping speed of the sonar.

don’t worry about it. most sonars make that noise. you just happened to notice it when it wasn’t in water. my powerguide w/ sonar does the same, that’s when i remember to shut it off.

No, I could here it while I was fishing nd it was very noticable. it seemed to be coming from the head of the motoor so I’ll look at the connectin there
