Lowrance NauticPath Map available?

    I know now that this is brand new. Is it available yet?

    Hi Dan,

    Nothing on these yet. Last time I checked Lowrance had not started shipping. I’m guessing it’s going to be a few weeks yet, maybe several weeks. Also, you know I’m a Lowrance fan but I don’t think I would go with the NauticPath over the Navionics. Navionics has been doing cartography since the beginning of time. Mapping is not an area for short cuts, in my opinion. You can get an XL3 chart for 200 bucks that should cover your area and more. I know it’s twice as much as the NauticPath but remember you generally get what you pay for. Something to consider… Wade

    That’s a good point Wade. You are right with regard to the XL3 chart, that is more water than my little boat will ever see. I probably have a good 6 weeks before I hit the saltwater. I’ll think about what I want to do.
