This device seems pretty cool. Does anyone own or have used one?

I was surprised to see that it is compatible with all of the Navionics cards.

I have the Ifinder pro, its awesome! I use my reel bottom chip and can drive my vehicle on mille lacs to any flat and to any location on the flat. I love if for hard water fishing.

I have a buddy who just bought an iFinder H20 with the Premium Chip. Very nice and the map was excellent on LOW. Nice and portable too

I have the H20, This unit is slick. I use it in conjunction with lakemaster’s software and their MMC’s, Works excellent and has many features. If you’re familiar with lowrances gps units in the boat. The h2o will be your ticket. I’m kinda upset with lakemaster and lowrance though. The MInnesota chip was supposed to be out March 1st, now they’re telling me another 2 weeks.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I have ordered one from Jolly Ann. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

I have had an I_finder pro + for over a year and like it just fine. One nice feature is it has a speedometer on the back page. To get to it just push the exit button three times real fast and it should show up. It is on the H2O also. Did have a little trouble using the mmc chips with 7 contacts in the H2O of a friends unit. The chip seems to get caught in the H2O as it is set up with 9 contacts for the chip. They will both interchange though. No problems there. Jim

The analog speedo even shows up on the PC emulator (after pressing exit 3 times quickly). I would like to know how they do these emulators. It is a great idea.

In fact, this feature seems to be on all of the lowrance\eagle gps units. On the combo units, you need to be on the full map view.

Thanks for the info about the speedo on the iFinder by exit, exit, exit to get it. I have an H2O with basic built-in mapping, no mapcreate chip. The manual that came with the unit “iFinder H2O, Handheld Mapping GPS Receiver, Operation Instructions” does not say anything about the speedo??? I am disappointed in the manual. It combines the instructions for basic mapping and the detailed MapCreate and goes back and forth and difficult to follow. I’ve had to read several times to get the hang of it. I wonder if they have a different manual for basic mapping only?

Clark..I think the speedometer page mentioned above is an undocumented feature. I believe you get the same manual regardless of the unit. From what I have seen (I have had the unit 1 day…), the mapcreate software (from Lowrance) is basically the same map as the base Lowrance map, but with additional detail. With this software, you can copy map data to a memory card and use it as an alternative to the base map.

All…Have any of you bought or built a fixed mount for the ifinder on your boat? The lowrance unit seems a little expensive at $40 or so.
