My daughter likes to fish, but she has arthritus in her hands and fingers. Trying to find her a reel that will work for her she can`t use a regular spinning reel or a push button spinning, she has a real hard time with both of these. The type she seems to be able to handle the best is the closed face underspins. But I am only able to find the cheap zebcos or daiwas, and they are basically junk. Does any body know if there is a manufacturer that makes a decent underspin. What I would think would work idealy for her but I can`t remember if they put much of a rod on them was the old underspins with the button built right into the handle on top. I can`t remember who made them. ZEBCO? Or if someone out there would have one they would like to sell it just might work for her. Or an idea how to incorporate that type of sytem on a decent spinning reel.

Thanks guys all these bright minds out there someone should be able to come up with something that will work.

    Thanks

Abu Garcia, Shakespeare, and Plueger also make decent underspins. Check Cabelas.

Do a google search for underspin reels…that came up with a lot of reels and places to buy them. Good luck on your search for the reels

You might also consider an electric fishing reel. No doubt they are pricey. Do a google search on electric fishing reel and you’ll find a lot out there. Here is an add on that you can put on a typical spinning reel: Add-on electric reel
