    Hey guys,
I have a 04 johnson 150 two stroke.Seems to run good most times.except when i have had the motor tilted way up when fishing in bays with slop. when i get out to good water i trim motor down it will start and die several times then i need to hold gas wide open and clear it out and it will idle sometimes but still at times it dies.if i can get it to go it runs great.any ideas. thanks

I used to have the same problems with an older Evinrude 70 hp. When you tilt the motor up the gas loads up in the carbs and basically gfloods it out. I could egt it to start by trimming down and open the choke all the way and it would then “clean” out the excess gas in the carbs and run great. That is what the mechanic explained to me when I asked them about it. Not sure if there is a cure

    Great candidate for Seafoam.
