Anyone know where I can get some replacement bearings for a shimano curado 3x10x4 ? Anyone swapped in ABEC 7’s or ceramics ? Thanks in advance for any help .

I get my bearings from these guys.

I did some bearing work on some Citica’s I got on a deal. By replacing the Citica’s bushings with bearings I basically have a 5.0:1 Curado for a lot less money.

They have plenty of options on there website. Has anybody tried the ABEC 7 or Ceramic bearings ? The ceramics are expensive !

I have the ABEC 7’s. I use the Yellow Rocket Fuel to lube them too. They are nice and I do notice an improvement over the stock bearings. Can I quantify it? No but I know I can cast a bit farther. I can also get a better backlash too . I haven’t tried ceramic. At some point though I think we are splitting hairs so thin performance wise that statistically there is very little difference unless you are a big money tournament fisherman. For those guys the 1 or 2 more fish a year could mean big money.

I’d just go with the ABEC-7’s unless the money is burning a hole in your pocket. If you get the ceramics, report back next summer and fill us in.
