Big Beaver, Check out Gander Mountains they have some close out rods and some rebuilt St. Croix, I have the St. Croix Premier 6’6″ med fast action PS66MF Picked it up at Gander in Fridley for $53 they just put a new tip on. I also picked for $49 marked down from $79 a Quantum Tour it has 54 million strands of graphite. I can tell if a 1/2″ weed gets on my lure and I use it for jigging I can feel every little rock or stone on the bottom.

My vote is for the Gary Roach Sig Series Lighting Rods. They come in 2 lengths(8’6″ & 7’10”) and telescope down to fit into rod lockers.

I use Diawa Heartland rods for trolling. They are cheap and are plenty forgiving for even the biggest hawgs. My two cents.

Daiwa Heartland and Cabela’s Depthmaster. Both inexpensive and good quality. Thanks

Hay thanks for moving the post. What action do I need if I am not running boards on this rod and what line? I like to hold one rod and put the others on boards. Thanks for your input guys.

I agree with Hale, Those lighting Rods are great for the price. I have 2 of them for Fasll Trolling on Mille Lacs in the 8’6″ length.
