Hi, Guys. I have a question about a rifle.
A buddy of mine has a rifle that he doesn’t use and wants to sell. Neither of us knows anything about it, other than the fact that his dad bought it at an auction several years ago for about $250.
It’s a czechoslovakian 30.06 bolt-action rifle (says czechoslovakia on the receiver) with a standard magazine that you load from the top with the bolt open. The most interesting detail is that it has a step-tapered barrel. There are two “steps” in the taper from the back (thickest) to the front (thinnest) of the barrel. The wood is pertty dark in color and doesn’t look like walnut, but could be. It is a fairly small/short stock. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could learn more about this thing? I figure if it shoots straight it might be worth $200 to me, but I’m just not sure.
Thanks for any help you can give!
John
