Anyone out there experience this problem? I have a 2003 115hp Johnson. Frequently as I hit planing speed, I will hear a clunk as if you have hit something with the lower unit. The motor actually jumps a little. Curious if anyone else has had the same problem. Took it in for service, but they claim they can’t find anything wrong
I have an 2004 Johnson 4 stroke 115hp, and love the thing. Is yours a 4 stroke because they come with a 3 year warrenty, and the 2 strokes come with a 2 year. Sounds like something in the drive part of the motor. Take the tech for an open water ride and show them the problem.
Bigcrappie is right, get that tech out on the water with you. Or I’d be finding one who’ll take the time and really wants your buisness.
These guys are right. All they have to sell you is their service. I will always pay more if the service is top notch!
