My brother has told me that he has seen a mid 90’s Stratos 284V with 150 Evinrude for sale at what may be a good price.
Does anyone have an opinion on this specific rig or the Stratos boats?
My knowledge is very limited on this and any input, positive or negitive would be helpful.
    Thanks

I have a 1994 Stratos 284 with a 150 Evinrude Intruder. I purchased it a few years back and haven’t looked back. Although I fish 90% of the time alone excluding tournaments I never have had the situation where space was a problem. My boat runs 56 mph(gps) with a 4 blade 23 pitch Renegede and 58 mph with a 4 blade 25 pitch Renegede. I fish a lot of backwaters and love this smaller boat for its maneuverability. The person I purchased the boat from says this boat handled the waves just as good as his new 20 ft Triton. If you have any other specific questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Hayward,I have a 1999 283 vindacator 18,feet my buddy has a 1997 282 it is his second. The 282 fishes the northren division Everstart and has seen some of worst conditions the great lakes has to offer.
I beleive the 280 lines off Stratos in the mid-80s was one of the fastest production boats with the 150, designed by Earl Benz
    My 283v with a 175 horse does 68mph and the 282 does 62mph.
they are a very stable boat with no chimming.
    the boats have preformed flawlessly.
They are a great mid level boat not much frills.
You might want to check to make sure the year you are looking at is 100% compisite I never heard if the older ones had some wood construction.
A great bass boat at a great price.
