I am looking at 2 different 12ga over/unders and was wondering if anyone out there uses either or has info on either???
I have a 1 time opportunity for a great deal and these are my 2 choices.
Remmington 332 or a Beretta Ultralight Deluxe.
Anyone have either of these or ever used either??

Any experience with the Remmington or Beretta O/Us would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    John

You realize you only get two shots with either gun, right?? From what sticky told me, you need all the bullets you can get. Just kidding, he didn’t say it, but I’m sure he was thinking it.

Thanks! I think. I really don’t need one of these….just too good of a deal to pass up.

If you shoot a lot of trap, I’d look at a heavier gun than the ultralite. I’ve shot one a few times, and it has some kick. I also thought about it a lot, it sure is a sweet gun, but I think Im going to get the Browning Citori Small arms 16 guage.

    Thanks Dave.
I was concerned about that. Even with normal trap loads there is enough extra kick to notice??

me personally, i would choose the heavier gun and the over under for trapp shooting. It is nicer to have the bead on there and not have to move the barrel faster to get the side by side to catch up to the target. also an over/under is a nice gun to use for upland game hunting. just my imput.

I have not used either of these shotguns, but I would at least offer some advice on barrel length. I assume they are used guns, so you are stuck with the barrel length. Are they the same length? I think both are lifetime guns that will serve you well, so I suggest you think about how you will use the gun and then look at which better serves your intended purpose. A new gun is always a thrill.

Thanks for the input….the deal fell through so I am not getting either now….kinda bummed…I had myself talked into the Beretta.
Oh well…more $ to spend on fishing equipment I guess.

Too bad about the opportunity passing you by.

Just a thought for you to consider. I used to shoot leagues on Wed. nights at a club south of the Twin Cities, and one thing I noticed was many times guys shooting the Citori’s would call “PULL” and just hear a “click” when they pulled the trigger, because they pushed the saftey the wrong way when they call for the bird, and they never got a shot off.

The Citori’s, and I believe all Brownings, operate with a percussion advance trigger mechanism, meaning, if it doesn’t fire, you have to crack it open to recock and then try again. Other makers of O/U shotguns, not all, use a mechanical advance trigger system. If you pull the trigger on a dry tube, it doesn’t matter, just pull again and the next tube fires. No recocking to get the shot off.

For that reason, I’ve favored the Ruger Red Label, and the Weatherby Orion.

    Just something to consider.
