Shimano reels

    I know on shimano reels that superstopper II is instant anti reverse cause i have several symetre 1000 reels. I thought this was the best reel made for the money cause of its size at I think 8.4 ouces. As u may know the symetre 1000 was discontinued and the ounce heavier 1500 substuted. Now I like the lighter reel but most of them have just the superstopper not the superstopper II. My question is is the plain superstopper instant anit reverse. Thanks for your replies.

    take the reel and spin in the forward poisition….STOP…try back…does it stop NOW!…? no then its not the new reels..The new reels Have “NO BACKWARD” motion…and I mean none

    Yup I have three of them now, all my spinning reels will be replaced with them in due time, I love ’em.
