My last couple of trips out on pool 2 I have had some luck on the deep diving husky jerks. This is a new lure for me and dont have alot of experiance with it. It does catch fish and I was happy to find that out right away.
My thought when buying a few deep diving husky jerks was that they might fit in well this fall as the water cools and the eyes start looking for something other than shad body lures. They also seem to have that nice wobble the regular jerks have. Might be a little better for slow moving fish.
We have been catching eyes on the DD husky jerk on pool 2 this last weekend. A lot of the time it is a shad rap out one side of the boat and the husky jerk on the other side. The first thing I noticed was that the jerk was taking larger fish. It was very cool to take fish on a new lure.
So do many of you fish the deep diving husky jerks? What are your experiances with them. My next move is to take them out to some nasty rocky shorelines and see how the do when drug threw the rocks. So far they seem to be anouther nice options for trolling on the river.
