This is my first year of boat ownership and it is time to send the boat off to storage. It will be out of the snow and elements but not in a heated space. What do I need to do to get it ready for the winter??

I should mention that it is a fishing boat (Fisher) with a 115 Mariner and 9.9 kicker. I’ve also got an electric and 3 batteries.

    Thanks–Curt

Nothing to do with winterizing boat, but did you notice the cowbell guy and your little dancing bananas are in sinc? I think I have too much time on my hands!

    Tom,

I agree about putting the boat into hibernation this early. My buddy just told me about getting into some fat largemouths this week. But last weekend I flew to Wyoming and did some trout fishing with my brother and will be gone to Pittsburgh next weekend. Trying to fit in another weekend of fishing might land me on the couch!

I would agree with these guys I know a buddy that is just getting his river boat out of storage now (duck hunting and river fishing). It’s easy to get them put away so you may want to think about holding off a few more weeks of may plan on doing it later next year after you have had a year of getting it ready for winter. Might save ya a month of storage fees also.

Dang it Carpking! You made me spit soup on my monitor!

I believe the cow bell man is Will Farrell doing his Blue Oyster Cult skit. Now that’s minutia!
