I have a Minn kota with auto pilot. It’s 2 years old. I see the new auto pilots have the transducer built right in. I would like to convert mine to that if its possible. Does anyone know if it can be done? Would I be better off selling the old one and just getting what I want?

    TacoTom,

No way to convert that I’m aware of. You can get new ones with or without the transducer built in (called universal sonar). I’ll post the link to Jolly Ann Marine to give you an idea of what prices are on the APUS. Hope this helps.

Thanks Wade, hopefully I’ll be calling you soon for the new Lowrance M68c. I have to convince the wife I NEED it.

Hey wade will universal transducer work with a Marcum LX3?

Tom, of course you NEED it! By the way, Eagle will be introducing some color units soon that might interest you more than the 68C. I’ll keep you posted here at IDA.

    Nick,

At this time the Universal Sonar is NOT compatible with Marcum. Here is a link to a list of compatible units:

    Thanks,

    Wade
