Hi. I’m looking at a new boat for next year. I’m looking for a bigger glass deep-v (Ranger 620, for example). Stratos has a big walleye boat out (one their website) and I’m wondering if anyone here knows anything about it. Even if you’ve only seen it, please let me know what you thought about it. From the pic on their website, it looks like the rod lockers are kind of small… I need to stuff 8’ers in there!

    Thanks!

    John,

I too have looked long and hard at this one. I run an older 219 and have never had a problem. I’m sure you could fit in an 8’er in the 21MSX as there seemed to be plenty of room when I put a 7’6″ in. I also love the ability to sit 3 people “bass style” with the rear casting deck in. I was looking at the Ranger before, but with the rear deck it was only a 2 person boat. With a 250 that boat will really scream as well. 97″ beam. And costs less than others. Where were you looking to buy it from?

Check out the V193 Warrior. Best ride out there. Layed out to fish in, made for walleye fishing and not a bass boat made to fish walleye.

    Mike,

I haven’t made any contact with a dealer yet, but I’m in St. Paul. If there’s a dealer cose to LaCrosse, that would work, too.

That rear casting deck looks awesome. I’m primarily a muskie fisherman, so it could be the ideal boat for me. I think Ranger makes a similar deck insert, too, but I believe you would only have two seats available while it’s in.

I was mostly looking at a Triton 198x (a new model for them) or a Ranger 620, but this Stratos could be a possibility.
