Butt seat

    I am looking to get a butt seat, not sure if that is the proper name, like the bass guys use for my Alumacraft T-Pro before the Mille Lacs get together.

    Where is a good place to buy them? I called Nelson Marine and they are asking $195 for one. That includes the 25″-32″ stand and the seat. Are they really that expensive?

    Depends how fussy you are going to be as far as matching what you all ready have. You can get the seat from cabelas from $24.99 – $55.00, Not sure what kind of pedestals you need, but you should be able to put something together for less than what Nelson quoted you.

    If you buy the pedastal and seat seperately they sure are. The pedestal alone is far less than $100 in Cabelas. I bought mine this way but ended up paying throught the nose for the seat since I could not find an aftermarket one that matched my interior color. I ended up buying the seat from Lund for an outrageous amount. It was still way cheaper than you mention.

    My butt seat and pedastal were purchased seperately at Mills Fleet Farm. The pedastal is adjustable in height so you can sit on it or just lean against it. I paid less than $50 for the combo. Couple of stainless screws later and the butt seat was attached to the pedastal and in the boat.

    I love me butt seat.

    Ditto to JickyJack. I purchased mine at Mills Fleet Farm too. I’ve had it for 2 years now and it’s holding up well.

    CABELAS HAS A SEAT THAT IS THE BEST I HAVE PUT MY ON.IT IS THE TOURNAMENT EDITION PRO SEAT IT RUNS FOR 54.99 AND HAS THE MOST PADDING I HAVE SEEN. IT IS GREAT. I GOT MY POST FOR THE SEAT AT TRAILS END IN FRIDLEY FOR $95.00. YOU CAN GO TO CABELAS WEBSITE AND LOOK AT THE SEATS, THEY HAVE A NUMBER OF THEM. HAPPY SHOPPING
