    Hey all,
I’ve got a Crestline Fishhawk 1750 with a 115 Yamaha 4-stroke hanging off it and want a good anchor system for it. I’ve settled on the Richter anchor but don’t know which size (18 or 25). Any ideas on whether the 18# will be enough to keep me in place? I don’t anchor often but when I do I want to stay put. Thanks for your advice.

I’ve got the exact same boat as you and bought the 18lb. Richter. I haven’t used it allot but have made several trips down to Wabasha and fished wing dams and it held great. Also the 18 will fit in your front storage area, I don’t think the 25 will.

I had a Lund 1800 Fisherman..Pretty big boat and the 18 wasn’t enough sometimes. With my Ranger I now carry two 25’s if I am going to be anchoring. One 15 is enough but sometimes for positioning I use two.

The good news is your decided on the right anchor When in doubt, get more than you need though…even the 25 pulls up easy.

I have the 25# for my 18 foot Lund. Works excellent and is easy to pull up.

I’ve got a 16ft. Smoker w/ a 60 on back and the 25 lb… might be overkill but I like to stick tight when I anchor… also plan on bumping up to a 18ft next spring, can’t wait
