Trailer wiring Extension

    Getting the wives new car wired so I can pull the boat if needed. The wiring is going to be a 5 flat to a 5 flat, not a 7 round like my truck. The trailer wiring is going to be short. Anyone know where I can get a 3′ extension?

    I would say fleet farm but not sure on the 5 flat wire, don’t see many of those. Most everything you see now is a 4 flat.

    Have you tried the local auto parts store, they had a few options I’ve seen, not sure of the 5 though. GM had some as well.

    The trailer has surge brakes so that is where the 5th wire comes in. It is blue and disengages the brakes so you can back up without the brakes setting.
